I’m the type of girl who arrives late to the game when it comes to all things Internet: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube. You name it. I like to resist until I just can’t anymore.
I never thought YouTube was “necessary” honestly since I could buy books to learn what I wanted to learn and watch TV or movies for entertainment. I equated it with mindless videos that were made to entertain or rattle on about topics I didn’t care for.
Then, one of my friends sent me one of Aaron Doughty’s videos and I realized there was a whole realm of YouTube dedicated to spirituality and self-development, two topics I could happily consume through an I.V.
Ever since then, I’ve been finding new YouTubers this way and listening to different videos, almost like podcasts, while I put on my makeup, clean my apartment, and fold my laundry. Now I’m a full on YouTube fanatic because I’ve realized it opens up a whole portal of access to people who wouldn’t be able to get their message out otherwise.
Without further ado, here are some of the best YouTubers for spirituality and self-development, in my opinion.
Aaron Doughty
Aaron Doughty is a self-development enthusiast who talks about energy, relationships, and spiritual topics like letting go and raising your vibration. Most of his videos consist of him standing in front of a white board filled with words and stick figures and just explaining things to the camera, but I kind of love this about him.
My friend described him as a “bro dude who talks about spirituality” and I’d say that’s a pretty accurate summary. But his bro vibes make him even more likable in my opinion. He also has a lot of guided meditations on his channel and spends a lot of time talking about his own personal experiences, which is refreshing.
Dr. Benjamin Hardy
I swear one of this guy’s videos is the equivalent of reading a book or taking an online class. Dr. Benjamin Hardy is a psychologist and author who jam packs each video with clear, important, and actionable information so that you “leave” knowing exactly what to do to transform or alter your present state.
His videos are about self-development, productivity, and creating your future self, and listening to just one (and actually taking action) could truly change the way you show up. He just recently wrote a book alongside Dan Sullivan called 10X is Easier Than 2X. I haven’t read it yet but I’m sure it’s mind-blowing material.
Ella Ringrose
Watching or listening to Ella Ringrose’s videos always give me a warm and fuzzy feeling, like she’s helping me raise my vibrations through the screen. She talks about manifestation techniques and has recently started doing a lot of readings on camera which are kind of fun (and kind of weird but nevertheless entertaining).
Ella also has a lot of videos that are a little too much for me – she talks about connecting to angels and has branched into some even more esoteric topics that I don’t quite vibe with but if you’re all out into that other realm, check them out. Overall, I really like her energy and her videos are inspiring.

Leeor Alexandra
Leeor Alexandra is another spirituality and self-development YouTuber who talks frequently about the law of attraction and manifestation. She’s kind of like the female version of Aaron and ironically, they used to date haha. I like most of her videos, but I get a bit annoyed by her at times (sorry Leeor) so I don’t listen quite as often. She also has her own online group called The Baby Elephant community if you’re interested in joining a community of like-minded self-help lovahs.
Show Nemoto
I just found this guys channel recently but it looks pretty promising. Show Nemoto is a Japanese Youtuber who chats about self growth and upleveling your life through personal transformation. I saw this video first where he talks about shifting his own identity from someone who was “unsuccessful” to his current reality as a coach, YouTuber, financially fit person, vegan health nut etc. His way of speaking is clear, calming and insightful, and I’m looking forward to diving into more of his content.
Abraham Hicks
If you know, you know. One of the most popular self-help channels in the industry, Abraham Hicks videos are a great way to pick yourself up when you get stuck in a thought spiral or simply need to tap into some limitless positivity. It’s tough to explain the dynamic here – the woman talking is Esther Hicks who essentially “channels” a higher power, which she calls Abraham, and talks to people about how to alter their vibrational states to manifest what they want.
There are sooo many more out there – an infinite stream of YouTubers just waiting to inspire you. If you know of some similar channels you think I should know about, drop me a comment! I’m always happy to learn something new from someone new xx.
